The Special Enforcement Team is a specialized team consisting of three units, the Narcotics Investigations Unit, the Gang Investigations Unit and the Special Investigations Unit. The Special Enforcement Team has the following objective:

• To conduct proactive investigations which affect the quality of life in the city of Chino. These investigations include gangs, graffiti, narcotics, and relevant community concerns. 

In addition to conventional investigative techniques, SET also utilizes non-traditional means to investigate crimes such as informant development, intelligence gathering, directed enforcement, surveillance, utilizing advanced technology, and partnerships with allied agencies.
