Photographers of all ages and experience levels are invited to enter Chino's second annual Photo Contest! Share your perspective of the Chino community and culture through your lens! 


Chino Animals: Whether they have scales, feathers, fur, paws or claws – share your favorite pictures of Chino animals, pets, and wild life.  

Chino Fun: Fun is all around! Capture citizens at City events, participating in City programs, or visiting City facilities. 

Chino Living: Share the genuine moments that define the lives of Chino residents! Whether your subject is a mom hugging her child, or kids on a school bus, we want to see it!  

Chino Nature & Landmarks: Showcase the best in scenic beauty of Chino's nature, Chino parks, roadways, overlooks, streetscapes, public art, distinctive buildings, facilities, structures, and other recognizable places to visit. 

Winning Entries:

  • Receive recognition by the Chino City Council at a regularly scheduled City Council meeting. 
  • May be featured as part of the City’s publications, website, and/or social media sites. 
  • Receive a Chino gift basket including a gift card to a local Chino restaurant and awesome Chino swag!


Photo submission deadline is September 29, 2023 at 5:00pm. After the submission window closes, winners will be selected from each of the categories.


Entries must comply with ALL of the following criteria to meet eligibility requirements:

  • Contest is FREE and open to residents and non-residents of all ages and skill levels. 
  • Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • All photos must be within Chino limits and taken within the last two years. Submissions with locations that are clearly not in the City of Chino will be rejected.
  • Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. 
  • Preferred digital format is JPG or JPEG or PNG. No GIF, BMP or printed format accepted.  
  • The City reserves the right to reassign entry to alternate category or reject entries based on criteria.
  • The City reserves the right to reject any entry deemed not suitable for consideration due to objectionable content such as the use of profanity, nudity, drug, alcohol, or tobacco use, or cruelty to persons or animals. 
  • Submitted photos may be used by the City of Chino in any marketing and communications materials including but not limited to City websites, print marketing, social media, and any other collateral. Attribution may be provided to the photographer, but is not guaranteed. 
  • If photo contains people who are easily recognizable, the photographer must have permission to submit their image for use by the City.
