Legislative Policy Committee
On October 18, 2022, the Chino City Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-071, approving the Citywide Legislative Policy, and establishing the Legislative Policy Committee (“LPC”). The LPC is a Brown Act Body made up of two Chino Council Members. Selection to the LPC is made during the annual review of the City Council Committee Assignments – which generally occurs in December or January of each year. For 2023, Mayor Eunice M. Ulloa and Mayor Pro Tem Karen C. Comstock will represent the City of Chino on the LPC. LPC meetings will be held “as-needed” and published in accordance with the Brown Act.
The LPC will work with City staff and consultants to identify legislation consequential to the City of Chino. The LPC will help draft official City responses to proposed legislation and will submit their recommendations to the entire City Council for approval. Throughout the legislative session, the LPC will receive updates and meet with the City’s State and Federal representatives. Overall, the LPC intends to foster the City’s working partnership with its State and Federal representatives so we may collectively serve the Chino Community.
